Shadow Stages

all i am is a shadow
boxing on each wall
wanting you to see me
yet you walk by as always
the color of my life is clearly nothing
the attraction of my presentation is exactly the same
life would feel like an everyday autograph if you even knew my name
alas, your name i will never know
your lips i will never kiss
certain parts of you i will never savor
i guess i will just beat the box and go about my normal existence
my imagination will e filled with visual versions of you
when the ceiling begins to collapse, i immerse myself with the feeling you arouse in me
the art that i draw in my mind takes the place of technology and machines
i collect lollipops to represent each wish i submerge in
i select pages of pictures that my brain's camera can only capture
when the bough breaks, my sanity will fall
out comes my only company....frustration and all....
