Shadow Self
Deep down inside, each one of us
Has a darker side, you see
It is within this darkness
That your shadow self is set free
When you do those hateful things
Which we all do in this life
Things that may cause others
Times of heartache, grief or strife
It is within the shadow inside
And within our inner light
That we learn and discover
What is wrong and what is right
A balance of these two sides
is what we all should be seeking
To grow and become stronger
Rather than meek and weeping
Embrace the darkness that comes from within
Because it is an important part of you too
Create a balance like the yin and yang
To be the best possible version of you
