SHADOW OF LIGHT

Sometimes, I have to put my shadow under a tree
Observe the things right in front of me
Don't open your eyes if you can't see
Just prepare your intuition and count to three

Blink twice and open your eyes wide
Look at the view you thought of inside
Does it look like something you had memorized
Or is it a blank stare in the distance that caught you by surprise?

Whatever you saw in your vision, we see it too
It's a messed-up world right in front of you
Life is changing, and it's a discouraging view
It's scary sometimes if you watch the news

The perspective we see is an illusion to some
When reality hits, it's an awakening of your vision
To look into the depth and believe you're not alone
Realizing at this point, your shadow now has the light from the sun
