Shadow

In the shadow of my former self
Visions of my body an Elf on the shelf
Thrown around so helpless and free
Families fight to cuddle me
Christmas is my time of year
Thrown in a bag till flakes of snow appear
The other dolls live much better
Wanted year round all sorts of weather
But I in my Jammie’s and cute little hat
Sit on the shelf lifeless at that
