Shades of Love
Love is pure;
It can make Romeos and Juliets
Sacrifice their lives
On its alter.
Sweet as honey,pure as dew,
Love has untouched only a few.
Love is strong;
It can crystalize itself into
Gigantic Tajmahals.
Strong as a deserted lovers vengeance
Still sweet as wild jasmin's fragrance.
Love is beautiful;
Yeah,but to a lover
His love's object is most beautiful.
Love can beautify a savage's heart
Oh! love, where in history you haven't played a part?
And love is blind;
Love made Roman kings forget their duty
They saw only the Egyptian queen's beauty.
Love is blind,love is kind
It contains the essence of human kind.
But love is flexible;
Yes dear,love is also very flexible
Or tell me why
The lover who saw greener pastures
Told his lover
"My love to you is as a brother's"?
To some, love is measurable in terms of money
Alas!love,glorified by poets many.
Yet you will go on gluing the world
Sung and praised by people like a bird !
