Shackled In Thought
Shackled In Thought

Today thoughts drift back toward pre-mask days,
when dominate thoughts of safety, were strange.
Now I ponder, is there end to this phase,
when thoughts aren't on Covid but have free range?
When life was less complicated but pure,
and negative news wasn't all I'd hear.
With thoughts ever present, will we endure,
and unmasked faces weren't always so drear?
Thoughts on a world, pandemic divided,
then I'm reminded that God's in control.
That outcome is already decided,
God, heal our nation, and render us whole.
