Shabby Shoebox

A shabby shoebox on a shelf,
Lizards home have made for themselves
In the old box where sun motes dwell
And laid eggs inside gentle shells;
They waltz through scary shining days,
Hidden in a privileged haze,
Slight touch on the box and they`ve flown
To come back the next sizzling dawn.

I can so well relate to it. If ever there is an empty cardboard box lying discarded in some corner, it will become the home of lizards. Even if they go away when shaken, their eggs of delicate shells will be lying inside. A great entry for the contest. All the best dear friend.
