Sewn With a Lingering Thread

~ Dressed in a jacket of tie dyed illusion Measuring moments to spare Dangling truth in the seams of confusion Camouflaged, nothing to wear Fastened by Velcro in heart strings of passion Sewn with a lingering thread Patterns on paper with words now in fashion Running the walkway instead Fabrics are woven of promised affection Altering hemlines anew Polishing buttons to claim your reflection Love it looks so good on you 11/01/19 For the: Fashion Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Julia Ward

Hi Chris :) love your last stanza and your opening line made me think back on all the jackets I've owned... does white-washed denim count? then I got flash backs of the dreaded sewing half of home economics! there were just too many needles around those patterns! You are quite the poetic tailor but Velcro would make any serious fashionista run off that walkway; buttons on the other hand... enjoyed :)

Sure, white washed denim has to count, I think I had one of those as well. :) Thank you Susan, I am happy you enjoyed this one. Your comment made me smile for many reasons, one was, I hadn't heard the term "home economics" in a long time. Do they still hold that class? Thanks again, I am thrilled you stopped by today. Oh, I really like your outfit. : )
