Seven Days
If only you could've seen
the color fade from her eyes,
like that last moment of a sunny sky.
If only you could've seen
her give and give,
spit on and trampled as a reward.
If only you could've seen
her lonely smile frozen in time,
all she asked for was the man to be kind.
If only you could've seen
her lay in that ditch
face down and forgotten like a dirty b----.
If only you could've seen
her cry and cry,
screaming she was too young to die.
If only you could've seen
the beauty of her birth
and now she lay forgotten.
If only you had seen
her beautiful smile,
what i saw
and you were too stupid to foresee.
