Set the Winter Free
In the dark, wet and cold.
The sounds of the earth unfold.
Slowly pushing through.
I want to be there for you.
Months it has taken me.
To finally break free.
The sun spikes through the cold.
The ice and wet dissolve.
For you I am here to behold.
Your eyes light up when you see.
My beautiful figure about my beautiful company.
We set the Winter free.
Be careful if I turn up alone, don't remove me from my home.
Here I am for you to see, but not eternally.
I bring the promise of more to see.
Our time is nearly up.
We managed to cheer you up.
Until next year we meet.
Goodbye from your Fair Maids of February.
