Set Free

Locked within a cell of clay,
was a soul that longed to fly.
To play among the distant stars,
where light-years twinkle by.
                                               
Now, clay is turned to ashes,
and bars to liberty.
No longer bound in earthen shell,
the raptured soul is free.
