my reflecting soul now cradled by the universe gazes upon its insignificant self a sorrowful hollow of incessant chatter possessive shades of fog and mirage that no longer matter the illusions of self she, he, me, and it shed its skin into a dusty haze a hubris ego begins to fade and is now set ablaze picturesque portraits of a captive life leap from frames they crash to the floor falsehoods, a memory no more smoldering embers swirl upwards in a mesmerizing spiral desperately clinging to its last and most intense denial now with a hesitant intent of pursuit its breath becomes broken at the heart of its root weary wasted dreams now cease they too seek release as it dissipates dissipates it had never a purpose or use as it watches me soar and dance with a wild and spectacular enhance it reaches its final place onto a vast and vacant space head bowed it gazes within and nods in its purest state it was only a thought a dream a memory afraid to let go with one final exhale I release it all my spirit has been freed to seek new inspiration and allow my exquisite energy to flow
