Set Apart For God
Set apart for God* and His teaching
I’m girded in my conviction’s zealousness;
Against indecency and worldliness...
He anchors my faith by constant preaching!
Set apart for God by His sovereignty
I’m uplifted in my humble submission;
Against haughtiness of selfish ambition…
He breaks my pride for me to overcome vanity!
Set apart for God along His wisdom
I’m corrected in my ignorance;
Against deceits’ grand appearance…
He guides my decisions for eternity’s kingdom!
Set apart for God upon His might
I’m propelled in my service-engagement;
Against fruitlessness causing faith’s detriment…
He blesses my labor with His approval’s delight!
*Psalm 4:3 But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him.
