Service Without a Smile
(This is a fictional poem)
You complained to my boss because I didn't give you service with a smile.
Sadly the reason is because I've been extremely unhappy for a while.
How can I smile when I've lost my beloved wife?
I've been in a lot of pain since she took her own life.
I loved her so much and my life will never again be the same.
I didn't know that she was so unhappy, am I to blame?
I want to drown my sorrow in whiskey, I can't wait for the remaining work hours to
pass.
I live in misery so don't expect me to smile while I pump your damn gas!
