Servant of Christ or Slave To Sin - John 8: 34

For a Christian to continue to sin
that very idea is not logical
the Apostle Paul emphasises this point
sin mustn't be your master at all

We all have only two masters
either to obedience or a slave to sin
there is simply no in-between
only one of them is your king

Sin is your master if it controls you
that shows how you live your life
you may not think of it like that
to cut it out, you must use your knife

But we can't change our nature
this shows that we are not in charge
for our thoughts enslave us to sin
the consequences are so very large

Obedience leads to righteousness
where sin brings spiritual death
obedience brings life in God
winning eternal life to your final breath

("So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, 'If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” They answered him, “We are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, ‘You will become free’?”
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave[b] to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.")

Indeed if you believe then you will not be a slave to win, but will practice righteousness.
