Servant Heart Dwells in Joy

Monchielle Stanza 1-7-24 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Servant Heart Dwells in Joy Servant heart dwells in joy Knowing my need for God I long to see God’s face - Reveries majestic – My shame, regret, displaced. Servant heart dwells in joy Gathering thorns of grief That pierced my tender heart To transform grey bleakness Grace binds wounds – healing arts. Servant heart dwells in joy To lift the lame from dust Mercy’s ways guide the blind Feeling heaven’s goodwill Hope with joy entwined. Servant heart dwells in joy Work of my hands – prayer Each breath a psalm to sing God takes my breath away Living ‘neath awesome wings.

His yoke is easy, His burden light... our joy is keeping Him in sight...

This is such a beautiful passage from scripture, Michelle. Words of comfort when our burdens would overwhelm us! Truly we are never left to struggle alone. Thank you for this lovely feedback! Sending you blessings for the work of your hands!

Your poem is a beautifully woven verse of devotion and resilience. The imagery vividly captures the essence of a servant heart, finding joy amidst the complexities of life. The longing for God's presence is palpable, and the transformative journey from shame and regret to grace and healing is profound. The portrayal of gathering thorns of grief and transforming them into healing arts speaks to the resilience born out of pain.
