Serenity of Spring

Lying in a verdant meadow
Underneath a cherry tree,
Pastel blue and blushing blossom
Form a perfect canopy.

Honeybees are sipping clover,
Fragile wings are taking flight,
And a heavenly aroma
Fills my senses with delight.

Fleecy clouds with time to linger
Bring a slowly changing scene
Warm embrace of blissful springtime 
Leaves me joyful and serene.
