Serenity In the Fire

Comforting and cozy
   the fire soothes my soul.
While gently it's distracting
   the pain that I withhold.

Sweeping unsolved issues
   into closets in my mind.
But, also reassuring
   they're close enough to find.

  And as,
The happiness and the pain
   find equality then retire.
I give my appreciation to
  the serenity in the fire.
