Serenading Andromeda

He's strumming the guitar strings as if they weep, near a warm campfire on a cold December night. Sad chords of his song hold many secrets to keep. Through Ponderosa pines, whistling winds sweep while a silver moon hovers, lustrous and bright. He's strumming the guitar strings as if they weep. Visions of her appear. Each cutting cruelly deep, memories that should never be brought to light. Sad chords of his song hold many secrets to keep. The fire sputters, causing golden flames to leap, crimson embers and dark ashes rise up in flight. He's strumming the guitar strings as if they weep. Over rolling plains, echoing cries of coyotes sweep. His heart fills with regret and he's gravely contrite. Sad chords of his song hold many secrets to keep. Serenading Andromeda, too restless for sleep. Fingers picking the fret as he sings about his plight, he's strumming the guitar strings as if they weep. sad chords of his song hold many secrets to keep. Oh Lin, I am right there with you in the chill December night, watching the silver moon hover over the pines and listening to our soulful guitarist sing of regret and contrition and secret memories as the flames arise in mournful harmony to the backing vocals of coyotes and crickets. I am deeply moved by this write and am in even more awe of your amazing talent each time I read you. A resounding Fave for me, to be read again and again. Thank you for sharing your gift. Blessings ~ John

John, I haven’t a clue where my thoughts had been drifting when I wrote this, but I felt his grief, too. I am always grateful to read such encouraging comments from you. Know this: I am equally enamored by your poetry. I heard another troll is looming and harassed Tom. Some things never change.

Reflecting on the love that he lost all alone with his thoughts with only his guitar for company. Brilliant write Lin. Lovely to see you again, I hope you are keeping well. Tom

Good afternoon to you, Tom. It's great to see you, too. A comment from you always brings a smile to my lips. I can't seem to get out of writing sad songs lately, no reflection on my mood. I've been quite well, and I hope all goes easy with you.
