Serenade In The Rain

A SERENADE IN THE RAIN

Dark clouds, low rumblings of thunder
People running amok for shelter
Petals of rain splattering across the window
Inside the house cozy and cold

Two lovers curled up on a couch
Under a cozy blanket like a joey in its pouch
Laughs and giggles in a thrill
To a program of Netflix and later on chill

Intimacy interrupts Netflix
At this point they both know what comes next
In each other's arms they enfold
His grip on her a strong hold

Rain pouring down in torrents
Adding serenity to the moment
Two lovers lay under the blanket
Bodies close and hearts beating fast

Muffled breaths, echoing the room
Slow movements under the sheets
Slow kisses on lips forever glued
Love blossomed new

Night turns into day
Their love never to fade
Their blanket world a sacred place
Where their love forever embrace

With muffled breaths, and beating hearts,
They sleep and dream, never to part.
Under the blanket, their love will stay,
Now and forever, until their dying day.
