I've been learning to play Schubert's Serenade on the piano.  I decided to make up my own lyrics to the song.  It originally had German lyrics, which I did not use for a source.  The link below is of Nana Mouskouri singing Serenade in 1979.  By the way, Nana Mouskouri, whose native language is Greek, is considered to be financially the most successful female vocalist ever, because she sings in so many languages.

Serenade* Tenderly hold me, gently enfold me, closer than close can be. Tenderly squeeze me, nuzzle and tease me, slower than slow can be. Love me like a fairy tale, where wishes can come true-- Magic for me and you. Take me to that wondrous place, where lovers dream to be; Somewhere for you and me. Forever take me. Never forsake me. Keep me close to your heart. Evermore stay here, never disappear. Always be my sweetheart. Make our love a fairy tale, where wishes do come true-- Endlessly me and you. Let's live in that wondrous place, where lovers dream to be; A home for you and me. *inspired by Franz Schubert's Serenade, published just after his death in 1829
