September sings a lovely, warm song. It is summer's last hurrah before it says so long. The nights turn cooler, and sweaters are worn. Fall is in the air in early morning dawn. Football games on brisk fall nights, After summer's heat are quite a delight. The state fairs are a long awaited treat, With the prize winning animals, and vegetables elite. The leaves transform into red, yellow, and brown, Whispering "Fall is here," as they come down. Piles of bright leaves can be seen all over town, Kissing the ground with a multi-colored crown. 9/4/16 Early September Premiere contest Brian Strand sponsor Awarded 5th place

Lovely poem, Brenda. Autumn is truly the best season for poets. I think even more so than spring. I love this one!
