Separation

Separation My love has flown across the world His fortune there to find And though he kissed me long and hard I still am left behind. For me he’ll send, he promised me. His promise from the heart But as I stand on this dark shore We’re many miles apart. Then as I gaze on this grey sea And gulls wheel high above A rainbow reaches out to me He’s sending me his love. Now here with patience I must wait For happy days to come When I will fly to that far land And we will be as one

That poem leaves me neary speachless Margaret for years ago I met a young lady visiting from Great Britain, we fell in a sort of love and had a similar experience, the irony of it is when I called her and told her that I was ready she was at the airport on her way to America when she met the guy she eventually married, another of the great tragedies of my life; Thus I write what I know as for the poem, Amazing and I feel you. Sang=) =( The moral people is life does not wait for us take it now.

I've had these feeling before: separation and the hope of reuniting. Distance and time are cruel instruments to test our love by.

Although it's difficult when we feel left behind, I really like the way you found his love in a rainbow. Such a gift cannot be purchased, only conveyed through God's hands. Beautiful writing! Love, Carolyn
