Separate Beings Once
Separate beings we once were
Travelling the path of life alone
Both of us not knowing what's ahead
Lonely down the path we roam
Our paths they crossed and so we met
A brief encounter was all it took
Each had a lasting impression
Yearning for yet another look
Sure enough our paths again did cross
Something that was meant to be
A relationship developed with such ease
No longer separate beings it's now you and me
Life's path together we'll travel
Lonely no more a mate to confide
Soul mates we've found each other
As one we can embrace the ride
The path of life now has a purpose
It's how life is meant to be
Finding a travelling companion
Even starting our own family
Regardless of where we may end up
Life's path you and I did share
Not knowing our paths destination
We're ready to go anywhere.
