Sentiments of a Woman

Sentiments of A Woman Everyone has sentiments, we all know that, but a woman's sentiments are sometimes hidden. She can pretend to be happy, when she is really blue. A woman's sentiments are very deep, within her heart and soul. She can hide her feelings very well. You can not tell, by looking at her - how much love, or pain she has endured. A woman has to be strong, like a super woman. She has to pretend that eveerything is alright - when it's not. She does all this for her family. At night when she lays her head on the pillow - she cries. She prays and thanks God for letting her get through one more day....

Insightful and heartfelt. Sometimes life does that to a woman, it is never as bad if they cannot see her cry.

A deeply reflective and thoughtful write. It makes me realize once again how difficult, if not impossible, it is for me to know the heart of a woman. But then, I do not even know myself all that well because negative experiences have clouded whatever it is that I might have become without them.

Thank you so much for reading my poem. I just write about what I have seen or about my own expirences. There are some pretty good men out there too. Let's just say that we need each other.

Hi John; Sometimes women hide their feelings so they don't worry their husband or family. There are men that worry too, but some women go through a lot in this life.

A woman gave birth to me . Every day of my life I rose from my bed and went downstairs to be greeted by my mother and 5 elder sisters , So I did learn very quickly to appreciate women and all they bring into this world of ours. They never understood the agonies of man flu but I still wouldn't trade a day of my childhood memories of the women in my life for all the gold in the world.

Thank you Darren for such a nice comment. My poem does not mean that all women are like this, but a lot that I knew have gone through a lot. A real mother that cares will do anything foe her family. I am glad that you understand...

I don't understand this. The women I have been associated with during my nearly seventy-six years on this earth had no problem letting me know exactly how they felt. I'm certainly not saying there aren't some women who stifle their feelings, but all women?

Hi Jerry; You are right, not all women are like that - the same as not all men are bad either, but as human beings we make mistakes and sometimes wind up with the wrong person. Now days it is hard to find a good man, or woman, but they are out there. I know - tjhanks for reading.

What a lovely poem! Shall I write the mens version? I think some of us men and women, suffer more than others as we feel life's burdens not only ours but all of mankinds, such is the tender heart.
