Sentient Star
A beautiful star flipped out tonight,
it flung itself at the moon.
No one could believe it,
a beautiful star so bright, wanting to die so soon.
There were signs for many weeks,
like the times her light dimmed at night.
Or the times she shot herself,
clear across the sky.
No one thought her attempts,
were actually cries for help.
She was always so noble,
not someone who ever felt.
She always appeared to be,
a beautiful shining star so bright.
Please pray for her when she hides,
behind the dark clouds tonight.
