Sensing What's Coming
a quickening of the pulse
sensing what’s coming
a lifting of the heart
the atmosphere humming
lighter shades of gray first
then brilliant colors in streaks
the majesty of the dawning
prelude to sun’s crowning…
the whole world’s reborn, alive
yet humanity still sleeps
If men only knew what they’re missing
from their beds they would leap
