Sense and Sensuality
In the coverlet of scented dusk,
I feel you closely watch the swell
And contours of my fluid shape,
Lithe willow in the perfumed musk
That drifts around, aflame with spice,
Aromatic, piquant, sweet as well;
A single gasp may then escape,
A heady breath of fire and ice.
And as you look, your pulse I track,
Below the surface of your skin,
My eyes adjusted to the night,
Observes your essence there and back.
The hollow naval I espy,
Provokes my mind to wondering
If sense and sensuality might
Be bread and wine to you and I...
