Sense-Less
My Sight was 20/20
back in my younger day.
I could hear all kinds of sounds
from quite a-ways away!
My Smell and Taste were a-okay.
My Touch was also good.
My senses all were working well,
exactly like they should.
But now's a different story.
Father time has took his toll.
My eyes and ears are failing bad,
benefits of gettin' old!
Eye glasses and a hearing aid,
an upper and lower plate!
Numbness in my finger tips,
a recurring nasal drip - How great?
So my Touch ain't what it used to be,
and things ain't Tastein' like they should,
but what hurts the most, is my wifes remark,
"You ain't Smellin' all that good"!
