How wonderful it is when we have the generations that hold us up. Generations die off and then here we are, in the ancient path. Just like our ancestors, we hope that we have lifted up, shored up, our children and grands. Being 65 this year, I have thought, wow, one day I will leave my family behind, and they will go on. Let these roots be strong. God bless you MD!

This senryu tells a story that honors an oak tree that the writer has known about for years. Excellent work here.
