... this resonates with me, all too much. I recently witnessed this "careful flag folding"... for a friend of mine recently passed, KIA, in Afghanistan. I have many mixed feelings about it... and about war in general. Nonetheless a well put together senryu! I'm enjoying your work...

Thank you for liking my poem Sara and you understood its full meaning..where I used to work we put up the flag every morning and folded it every evening..It never became routine...
