Senorita
There is a little dark girl I adore
Just down Mexico way
who loves my poetry written of her
and to hear the mariachi play...
She smells of golden apples
the scent of perfume from finest flowers
Senorita Jocelyn you are as
agua falling in April showers...
She smiles with childhood innocence
my heart rages with a dark fire
Senorita, tell the mariachi how to play
Whatever your heart so does desire...
Then the spanish music flowed like honey
the horns, the trumpets began with a roar
they played, we danced with coming dawn
our feet moving and boots resounding on the floor...
Senorita, my little dark and lovely princesa
the dawn is coming you see
let us run away towards the sunset corona
sealed with many besos and our destiny...
Mi cielo live with me and be my lover
upon our bed I lay a single rose
With ring of gold and cap of flowers
and a promise in these words I do propose....
Let the mariachi play...
