Senior Moments

Anybody can have them,
Nobody is immune to them,
It is just easier for the young to give ,
   a different name to them.,
As they have not reached a certain age,
Where society has unilaterally decided,
   junior is no longer a title that applies to them.

It is only when one becomes  not so young,
And start to hide their age from those who no longer
   see thirty as young,
That one comes to realize that  Senior Moments,
   are born with the young.

Natasha L Scragg June 27, 2026 at 7:30 AM Good point. Brain fog has that effect on me and Im young 30's. It can be very frustrating for anyone who experiences it. They can't quite remember the word they know and want to use, or where they put their pen which rests beside them. We can only juggle so many things at once. at any age. Poetry keeps me sane. I attend Board games night every Tuesday. Some are quite complex and good for my brain. Also great group of friends. Recently attended a board games convention on free Community ticket. It was huge. Thanks again David in NZ

Age and ability are not always aligned. I am seventy two and my blood pressure and heart and lungs are fine. They needed to be when I had chemo. 8 years in remission.
