I an't indentured anymore, just dentured,   but I never get a toothache.

Being a senior citizen sure has it's ups and downs. It seems I'm learning something new each time I turn around. Things are different now for me than when I was young. I'm older now and wiser too and life's a lot more fun. I used to think when I got old the fun would be all over. I'd sit and rock and dream about bygone days of clover; Days of fun and frolic that were filled with love, adventure; But it turns out that just ain't so in youth I was indentured; Tied to duty and my job I worried 'bout my payments, House and car and credit cards, each month was filled with statements. Now I'm free to do my thing, slow down and smell the roses. I've some wrinkles and gray hair but don't look down your noses, At us old folks 'cause you think we're old and dumb, not with it. 'Cause we've been down that road before and you my friend can have it. This senor thing has got it's edge and I've put in my bid, To head the list, be number one as the world's oldest kid.

Hello Judy … in some circles I was regarded as the oldest teenager they knew. Your poem is really easy to read and enjoy for another elderly citizen - thank you Judy - Lindsay

As you are a Christian, you believe things happen in 3s, so be careful! Aloha! Rico

Thanks so much Rico. My doctor's have told me that though lately I have had a bout of ill health having had an appendectomy and then a month after recovering I fell and broke my hip after all is said and done for a woman my age I am very healthy. I plan on going full tilt until I run out of gas and just drop. Thanks bunches, God Bless, JB

This is an absolute gas, Judy! I just love it! And what's more -- I agree with you 1,000%. We sure are 'living the life' -- at least until the next hip replacement. lol. ~ Feast or Fall, as they say

Hi Judy, I really enjoyed your poem about the “ mature” folk. I liked it a lot. It's a blessing to reach senior age. Have a great day and weekend:-) Alexis
