Selling Souls

Pay me in compliments, keep your money The unbreakable one wishes not to be bribed A pride that cannot be loaned Expensive swagger that can't be borrowed I stand alone with courage adjacent to my hip Wanting to be loved and not purchased Dollars will not make me fold nor will it make me change A bulletproof ideology and a hardened cranium Those who attempt to check me, undoubtedly bounce For this soul, is not for sale
