Selfishness Surrender
More than subservient to the Almighty
My flesh I yield while surrendering my life
To my breath-Source Who deserves my all.
Humbled, I submit* my selfishness’ ardor
To the Lord Who leads my steps
Against stubbornness-tenacity.
Broken from carnality’s hardness
I bow to my Saviour Who redeemed me
From sin-damnation’s torture.
With wholehearted gratitude,
My spirit praises my God
Worshipfully, exalting His name.
