Self Doubt

What was I thinking Who will remember Realization is sinking A slow December They might have seen Caught a glimpse A crack in my dream Despite my attempts The tiny details I over correct OCD spells My art is wrecked I often forget The simplicity Back before I let The world get to me They gossip and judge Or so I've determined My thick skull won't budge Twist, turn or bend I've made my decision On what to believe Despite my clear vision I'll never achieve

This poem allows us to reflect a moment on the emotional toll cancer takes on, family and friends. The words you used to make your peace with your loss are an eloquent tribute to the strength of your love and faith. Very well written with strong emotions tugging at the heart strings. Emile.

Nothing is free of criticism and scrutiny, not even our perceptions of normalcy. Pain wraps itself around most decisions in life and we must be ready to not only recognize this catch, but to proceed in spite of the thorns. Emile.

If you're absolutely sure of your convictions you shouldn't let anyone deter you, but having an open mind can be a wise quality to consider before you become completely resolute. Good write, Anna.
