Self Defence

By the steeple, all the people
That said no to Mr Needle
All the people too suspicious
Got diseases that were vicious
For the reaper, avaricious
Finds the human too delicious
So deny the plan he’ll hatch
Take the sharp but tiny scratch
Don’t reside with all the people
In the ground beside the steeple

If we can get 70% of Americans vaccinated, they say we may achieve herd immunity. It's a decision everyone has to make for themselves, though I do worry about those who refuse the vaccine. I'm faving this poem, Terry. More people need to read it! Hugs, Carolyn

Thanks so much Carolyn. This was a weird one. I’m a bit of a night owl, so last night at about 2am I had turned off the kitchen light to go up to bed, when the first line popped into my head. I knew if I went to bed I would have forgotten it by morning. So I typed it into my tablet and in something like three minutes the whole thing was done. So, thanks for the ‘fave’ Carolyn. Terry
