Hiding among the herd is a talent. It lowers the odds of encountering a predator 1 on 1. So says one child who frequently was only seen as an exhibit... and went on to blend in for a very long time. Howdy! I don't know all of the rules of haiku etc... so I rarely sit down and practice those things. But I do enjoy reading them, thanks!

Hi Susan! I really appreciate your "different take" on this Haiku-made me think of the times we "got out of the way" as fast as we could... Sad, but some children just have to learn survival methods early on in life... Can stand them in good stead in later years if they don't become self destructive. (Went through some rebellious stages. :Dxxx) I appreciate your visit to this Haiku! ((Warm Hugs))

Yes, indeed! Growing up in an environment of emotional neglect, I disappeared from sight into worlds of words, music, and art. Poetry keeps me connected to human emotions and thoughts-brings me out of self confinement. Thank you for "hearing" me, Victor. (((Warm Regards..)))

Thank you for your welcome visit, Karen... Emotional nurturing for children needs individual attention... And adults too... (((Warm Hugs)))
