Seems So
I sighed and exclaimed, it’s raining again
I said it’s the same every day
The weather is always so cloudy and grey
My wife said it just seems that way
I switched on the TV, there’s more flaming cooking
And that reinforced my dismay
There’s just nothing on at which I shall be looking
My wife said it just seems that way
My tax bill just came, what the heck’s going on
The taxman is like Ronnie Kray
I think maybe they think I own amazon
My wife said it just seems that way
I got into bed and we snuggled up tight
And I whispered in her ear, ‘Hey?’
Have you brought, she said, a revolver to bed
I said, no, it just seems that way
