Seemingly Perfect Girl

Do you ever stop and wonder about that seemingly perfect girl? Does she ever feel unloved, Imperfect? Hardly, isn't that me? Is it possible to always have good hair days? And never get those feelings of self doubt Feeling alone, Scared Hopeless And tired of it all She couldn't possibly feel the same things as me, That "perfect girl" could she? How often do we ignore the look of pain in her eyes For you must look quite closely, Under all those fancy clothes and makeup Her pain is hidden under that seemingly happy, But in reality, plastic smile She may be hurting deep inside from a breakup, Problems at home, that no one knows about She really wants so badly to be cared for, Don't we all? If only we all took more time to show concern for others, And not just ourselves... Someday reach out with a touch of genuine love, And just see, If you can brighten the day of a lost and broken soul You may not be as different As you think From that seemingly, perfect girl
