Seeking Serenity

Seeking serenity

13/04/2018
Peace for my bustling brain I struggled to find.
Persuing such solace led me from riches to ruin.
With a bottle or bong I could slow my
crazy mind.
Yet to all I was losing my perceptions were blind.
Everything I cared for was forgotten and left strewn.

Alone and destitute my self worth forsaken,
Reaching out for hope im drowning in self hate.
Aware of my plight like a Phoenix I awaken,
I pray and I fight to regain what was taken.
Arriving at peace with my mind and it’s state.
