Seekers
Everybody knows,
How to write a haiku, right?
Oft this is wondered.
But words flee from sight,
The heart hides from herself, and
The mind is alone
The evening star falls
And darkens the mortal plane
With sorrowful sighs
But the young seekers
Are never truly lonesome
While chasing the sun
They climb mountaintops,
Though cloistered in cold rooms, and
Trapped under bed sheets
They dive through oceans,
And pierce the most distant stars
On the winds of dreams
Though their minds idle,
And while their hearts still waver,
Their souls stand as one
