Seek Shelter

I'm a little bird, confined in a cage,
Yearning for emotional shelter, a heart's page.
Amidst physical shelters, I feel the lack,
Longing for love, a shelter that won't crack.
Dreams of being a free bird, soaring high,
Over oceans with larks, beneath the sky.
Among little birds, near bushes and trees,
Do they too seek shelter from life's unease?
Not just in walls and beams, shelter resides,
Love quietly streaming, where the heart abides.
In the arms of friendship, both true and kind,
A fortress of the heart, troubles left behind.
In the tempest's roar, in turmoil's quake,
Seek shelter, weary soul, in solace's lake.
A haven of peace, a sacred space,
Embrace tranquility, troubles to erase.
