Seeds of Poison

Home is broken
She’s on her knees
Tomorrow’s mouth is open
We are not ready for this

It is evil
We were too hungry to see
We groomed, planted and watered the seeds
We are sowing poison for our people

The seeds we planted will poison us
They are growing
They grow vicious
Hungry, desperate and vile
A generation after our shared insanity
Will flood us like the Nile
