Seeds of Destruction

I look through this turmoil, Through the shuttered pieces, Broken mirrors that bear dented images, Beyond the crumbled walls, Wretched foundations that once stood tall. I look through the darkness, Through the shadows cast in fear. From here where I stand, I see all..... I can smell the stench of destruction, I can still sense the wrath, I can still hear the cursing voices, The wailing of embattled souls, Souls ruthlessly strip off their breath, Now in jeopardy;in limbo, In a dark valley, the bottomless pit Consumed, approaching the fangs of hell. I see through the ruins, Through the dark smoke from the burning rubble, Through the lifeless bodies. The wind randomly blowing, From my eyes, tears dripping, Now I can see......clearly, Now I remember.... I recall the seeds planted, Upon this land once full of life, Seeds of hatred;greed;selfishness, Seeds of chaos and conflict, Seeds watered with blood, Now ripened fruits, Fruits of pain;destruction;revenge, Death;famine;disease, Bitter fruits that taste of sour blood, Fruits of self inflicted misery........ Fruits that have wiped out the souls that planted them.
