See No Evil
Crepuscular darkness coats the viridescent blades with icy black frost
Yet another exuberant day finds slumber at the behest of a sonorous lullaby
The hour of opulent candlelight has finally been crossed
And pursuit of halcyon dreams continue even as penumbra is nigh
If not for the jealousy of the fresh morning sun we might better realize
The visceral strength of the candle in this fight
As we maintain our promise to ignore the evil in sight
Guiding us through our shadowy moments to deceive a cynical fate
Only when dawn breaks does the candle grow desultory and we lose all its light
Do we appreciate the sentiment that perhaps a new day can wait
