See her See me in Artistry
A portrait reveals one’s secrets age-old Eyes tell a story without being told.
Quote - poets own.
I look into her eyes and find myself Feel all the hurts that I have ever felt A grown woman and beauteous she is Her refinement captured by the artist. A little wry smile, a glint in her eyes What observer could not be mesmerised Sitting elegantly, posture demure With the charm of mysterious allure. I recall myself when I was a child Unable to run free, forlorn, fragile Time passes, we progress and learn to love Counting our many blessings from above. A magnificent creation of art Captivating viewers hearts from the start Sung and written of often down the years Reducing many to weep silent tears. Mona Lisa, I am her, she is me Painting by Leonardo da Vinci.

It is so easy to superimpose ourselves in her smile, all we need is to remember when we first smiled from the heart, nice penmanship dear poet, congrats

Thank you Mystic Rose, smiles say so much whether one’s happy or sad, a smile can light up a room or speak of one’s sorrow and gloom… Belle

Hi Lindsay, the Mona Lisa portrait is certainly inspirational, who knows what her eyes portray, or her thoughts as she posed that way. Thank you… Belle

Till now, whatever have seen about aesthetic sentimental depiction of an art, this one will stand as a timeless classic! Not to hyperbole, it's sublime! Hats off! Hugs

Excellent writing, twisted in a novel manner and ideally suited to the contest theme. Belle, you have persuaded me that you really are the artwork.

Hi Lasaad, the painting of Mona Lisa brings back memories from my childhood past, though she’s a grown woman It’s the hurt I see in her eyes that bring hurtful sorrows back, I’m not her but I see me in the picture. Thank you… Belle

Ha I wish, the only resemblance is in the emotion of the portrait, but let’s pretend. Thank you Vijay very much… Belle

Mona Lisa and George Washington -- always felt their smiles were similar. Poor George, though. Only worth a buck. lol... btw, Have you ever heard/seen Nat King Cole sing 'Mona Lisa?' There's a video of him crooning the song, wearing a 'baby-blue' suit. I highly recommend it if you've never seen it. It's about 2 minutes, is all. Happiness and Joy, Gershon

I have heard Mona Lisa sung by Nat King Cole, love it and listen to it over and over again, saw him in his baby-blue suit too. Thank you Gershon, happiness and joy in return… Belle

Enjoyed, but must admit to being very disappointed when I saw Mona Lisa, as there were many paintings in the Louvre, I thought were better, including one of a woman praying before candles in a church. I called a guard because I thought water had dripped onto the canvas, but was assured it was a painted tear . . . ..

Rico, I’m pleased you enjoyed the read, but sorry you were disappointed that I chose to write about the Mona Lisa painting. That must have been a convincing tear on the painting you mentioned, your concern would have been appreciated I’m sure. Thank you… Belle
