See

In my sleep
I see the hands that offered help
From a fall that never broke
A smile that always helped

I see the hands that’s used to reach
A smile that caressed my cheek
The smile that never left
Eyes conquering all

I see promises never made
The hands that never held
Food we never shared
The smiles we never made
Even a home that doesn’t exist
The eyes that never met
The dreams we didn’t reach
Leaving scars that never healed
