Seduced by Blue Breeze

I was like a toddler at one time
Your love a pacifier in my mind
Making me feel like a fragrant black rose
But flowers eventually die we know

I was like a fish in the sea
Waiting anticipating you catching me
Then I saw the whale swim by
Decided I was to small to hook that guy

I was like a windy blue breeze
Waiting for you to inhale me
Why I’d dance despite two left feet
Then I discovered by chance why I’m unique

If I were in the Song of Solomon
I’d feel I belong to the olive man
But I’m here and you are not
I’ll give you my tears and my heart to God

'Song of Solomon' and 'olive man:' What a unique, intriguing rhyme, Karen. Bravo! :) Gershon

Another terrific non-romantic poem. For me, there was more than one whale and a few swordfish for a real battle. He didn't get the chance to smirk while I fought to reel him in. I simply threw him back. There are other fishes in the sea.

I love the fact that you are so versatile, how you write on different themes and deliver poems so exquisite with excellent metaphors and imagery! The way youv used nature here to depict your thoughts is impressive! I especially love “ I was like a fish in the sea Waiting anticipating you catching me Then I saw the whale swim by Decided I was to small to hook that guy” brilliant! Pleasure reading your work always sending you light

Aw thank you Inky! I honestly feel often my poetry is redundant! I long to write more unrhyming deep subjects but I am who I am and write what I know. Love and light hugs to you!
